Our morning tours headed out in very calm waters and beautiful sunshine, heading southeast with all eagerly scanning the waters for Orcas. We stopped to observe a few porpoise just past Trial Island, before continuing on to find J-pod near Hannah Heights off San Juan Island. The Orcas were inshore traveling south, slowly and spread out. After a great visit with the whales our trip returned to the harbour with the guests happy and relaxed.
The afternoon tours headed out again with great weather, towards Salmon Bank and Eagle Point looking for J-pod. The whales did not disappoint and where found just offshore. The whales were feeling good and the guests were treated to several spy hops, tail slaps and breaches. On the return trip the group stopped at Trial Island to view the Bald Eagles before heading back into the harbour.
It turned out to be another great day on the water!
